What Is a Well Woman Program?

A well woman program is a scheduled series of health checks, screenings, and consultations tailored to your age, risk profile, and life stage. Rather than waiting until something goes wrong, well woman care identifies risks early β€” when they are most treatable β€” and supports overall hormonal, reproductive, and general wellbeing.

Adolescent & Young Adult Health (Ages 13–25)

  • Menstrual cycle evaluation β€” addressing irregular, painful, or absent periods
  • PMOS/PCOS screening and management
  • HPV vaccination counselling
  • Contraceptive counselling β€” understanding all options
  • Nutrition, iron, and vitamin D assessment
  • Skin, hair, and hormonal acne management

Reproductive Age (Ages 25–40)

  • Fertility assessment β€” AMH, antral follicle count, hormonal baseline
  • Preconception counselling and optimisation
  • Annual cervical screening (Pap smear)
  • STI screening where appropriate
  • Thyroid and metabolic health evaluation
  • Breast health awareness and clinical examination
  • Mental health screening β€” depression and anxiety assessment

Perimenopause & Menopause (Ages 40+)

  • Perimenopause symptom management β€” hot flushes, sleep disruption, mood changes, irregular periods
  • Bone density assessment (DEXA scan) β€” osteoporosis prevention
  • Cardiovascular risk assessment
  • Menopausal hormone therapy (MHT) counselling for eligible women
  • Vaginal health and urinary symptom management
  • Breast and pelvic organ health monitoring
Preventive Care Saves Lives

Cervical cancer is almost entirely preventable with regular Pap smears and HPV vaccination. Breast cancer, thyroid disease, diabetes, and osteoporosis are all significantly more treatable when caught early. A well woman visit once a year is one of the most important things you can do for your long-term health.
